This hotel is a quiet little refuge from the noise of Hanoi. Once through the gates, the constant beeping of horns and traffic noise disappears. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The staff are polite but not very friendly. The hotel is attached to the Ministry of Defence and was the old Army barrracks so maybe this explains their cool demeanour. One thing that did annoy us was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities and we could not get a cup of tea sent to our room. However we would reccomend this hotel as being value for money. The location is good, quiet and just 100metres from the Opera House.
