The features of Cha Ca La Vong in Hanoi include:

  -   A traditional Vietnamese fish dish called Cha Ca is served in this restaurant since 1871.

  -   The main restaurant is actually on the 2nd floor via a narrow wooden stairway.

  -   The services at the restaurant are brisk and efficient.

  -   The Cha Ca is essentially fish cut into bite size pieces, marinated in turmeric powder and deep fried in oil. It is served on a stainless steel saucepan over a charcoal grill together with spring onions, dill, basil, spring onions and a special sauce. This dish is accompanied by Vietnamese rice noodles/vermicelli, roasted peanuts, and mint leaves with a vinegary sauce and cut fresh chili.
