Ba Be Lake - Ba Be National Park Adventure

The vegetation in Ba Be National Park mainly consists of limestone and evergreen forest. The former covers steep mountain slopes on which the soil cover is thin. The latter depends on thicker soil cover and has a higher species diversity. The dominating tree species of the lime stone forest are Burretiodendron hsienmu and Streblus tonkinensis Climbing bamboo is a regional endemic plant common on the hill slopes near the lake shore.

Day 1: Ha Noi - Babe (L, D)
Departure for Ba Be, passing through the mountainous region of Tonkin - Thai nguyen. There are superb landscapes with the rice fields in terrace, the paddle wheels in bamboo on the two sides of the river. Have lunch on road. Upon arrival at Cho Ra, take a boat on Nang river that slips in a cultivated country before penetrating in a landscape of chalky cliffs whose flank are characterized by small wild gardens, where hang the lianas and its long roots in quest of earth. Then enter into the Puong Cave. The river flows, making up a wonderful site where you can enjoy the stalactites on foot of this pothole. Continue going by boat to Pac Ngoi - a village of Tay ethnic. The Tay lives on fishing, rice and corn cultivation. Their stilt houses with the thatched roofs disperse in the austere surrounding landscapes. Have dinner and overnight at the inhabitant.

Day 2: Boating - Return Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast, visit Ba Be National Park then take a car back to Ha Noi . Have lunch at Cho Ra town, with an optional visit the ATK Zone (Militarize Zone) on the way back to Ha Noi. Arrive at Ha Noi around 17:30.
